Gareth/John/All, Has anyone who does use ddb's with SourceSafe found that the SourceSafe database ends up HUGE? I found out that my colleague has tried it but had this problem (I really should speak with him more we're in the same office!).
Does anyone know if this is easier with 2004 than 99SE? I think we'd look at 2004 if it would help us with this but it also depends how many other new techniques etc we'd have to learn and if the upgrade is worthwhile. I've already found this http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00295.html and this http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00917.html it seems 2004 has something to take care of version control, in which case I'd only need to store the central libraries in SourceSafe. Thanks to all. Sometimes even waiting for the process to stop afetr a long session. Sometimes if the application crashes and has to be terminated you will see a .ldb file of the same name as the .ddb present in the same path (if you allow view of system files :-) ) John > > > > ____________________________________________________________ > You are subscribed to the PEDA discussion forum > > To Post messages: > mailto:[email protected] > > Unsubscribe and Other Options: > http://techservinc.com/mailman/listinfo/peda_techservinc.com > > Browse or Search Old Archives (2001-2004): > http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] > > Browse or Search Current Archives (2004-Current): > http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] > > ____________________________________________________________ You are subscribed to the PEDA discussion forum To Post messages: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe and Other Options: http://techservinc.com/mailman/listinfo/peda_techservinc.com Browse or Search Old Archives (2001-2004): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Browse or Search Current Archives (2004-Current): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] ____________________________________________________________ You are subscribed to the PEDA discussion forum To Post messages: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe and Other Options: http://techservinc.com/mailman/listinfo/peda_techservinc.com Browse or Search Old Archives (2001-2004): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Browse or Search Current Archives (2004-Current): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]
