Yes!  It worked!  Thank you for all the help!  There were several suggestions
that would have done the trick, but I used the one where I updated the board,
moved the chips onto it, selected everything outside the board and deleted it,
and then updated it again.  I had to go through that process three or four
times before I retrieved all the chips.

I'm now anxious to get the components placed nicely, autoroute it with some
acceptable design rules, and generate the Gerbers.  More than once I've run 
into trouble getting the Gerbers produced, so I'm anxious to get over that
hurdle, too.

Again, I would like to thank everybody that posted on my problem.  It was very
kind and generous of you.
