Hi Hamid,
Lost power for a while here, 43° today, after a few hot days already, expect the power co had to start switching off parts of the grid as Melbourne doesn't have the capacity for the peak loads. > I did not see any offer on the website. If anything, their > website is extremely quiet about pricing. You need to contact your local var for pricing, the web only ever had USD pricing and as the exchange rates change all the time Altium would have to change the price all the time to keep it even. > Looks like they are using a variable pricing model > -- charge everyone what they think they can get out of > them. Kind of the car sales model here in the USA. > Better be prepared to haggle, negotiate, wheel and deal. You can always haggle, nothing new there, how far you get who knows. snip... Sure, what I have found is sometimes it was quicker the old way, but after you get proficient at the new ways most are just as quick if not quicker. Here is an example of how much faster the new way can be. Say you need to change a heap of objects, in 99 you open a part dialog, open the global extra wing, work your way down the list and make the correct selection for each item then press ok. Now if that didn't do what you intended you would have to go do all that again and hope to get it right the next time... In AD, you use find similar, make selection 'match by' as above, press ok. Now open the inspector and make the change, if the change is not right, just change it again as the objects are still selected. This can make the change near 100% faster for each time you make another change. So for me, the list of times AD is slower, is much less then the stuff it saves me time overall, and some features save a lot of time. > So what have people's first hand experience been like? Bottom line, I bought it, after having a play.
