I'm not sure wether this will help those of you trying to run software on 64bit windows, but in XP there is a little known feature that allows you to run older software on XP. AutoCad 2000 is a classic example. If you try installing it on WINXP a dialog pops up saying that it is incompatible with this operating system. So, you right click on setup.exe (or any exe file), select properties and go to the Compatibility tab. There you can select various modes of operation that WinXP will remember when ever you run the program. I can only assume that this feature is available on 64bit windows also.
