Hi Mira,
I tried 64bit WinXP for fun, and then set it aside until it matures a bit.
AD runs fine under 64 bit Windows, except for port drivers. There is
a subsystem in Windows 64 that runs 32bit applications. So
theoretically you should be able to run anything you run on 32bit
WinXP. The biggest problem is with hardware drivers; the translation
subsystem of WinXP64 doesn't translate drivers - they have to be
written as native 64bit code. If you are using the FPGA part of AD,
you're probably not going to be able to talk to the PC parallel
ports. Likewise, you'll have problems finding drivers for printers
you may have.
The bottom line is that 64bit Windows isn't really ready for general
use yet. There needs to be quite a bit of work done on interface and
peripheral drivers before you can just plug in the applications you
are now using, and expect them to work completely.

I've got a question - Does anyone use a PC with 64-bit
processor and AD running on it?
