You're kidding :)
Like I said everyone has work around (even you)

This is why we have quit griping about it.. Does not work the same for every
system.
Not to mention the extra time just for setup.
Appears to be network/printer related for my home system hasn't the
problems.

Remember this is a common complaint for many years.

Duane,
Every time I start a new project I pull down the project menu and choose
project options. There is a tab there for default prints and I go into
this and change the page setup for every type of print that I plan on
using. The nice thing about this my text can be to letter or A, and
schematics can be to tabloid or B. After I complete this I don't have to
change the page setup for that project. Hope this is some help.

Brad.
We have gotten tired of complaining about this problem and have found
work a
rounds.

I always now print through batch or page setup, if I forget ...beep beep
beep .. printer sounds like a truck backing up. :)

Kerry,
I don't have the first clue about DXP's problems other than I
don't
hear "everybody" complaining about this issue on the forums, could it
still
be a similar problem to those I mentioned, surely. I noted that Chris
hadn't
stated DXP or 99SE one way or another. I have heard the same complaint
about
P99SE as well over the years. Since I was very specific, maybe your
comments
as a reply to me are misplaced?

Defaulting to A4 paper size is definitely a problem with at least the
early
versions of DXP. I don't
know about 99SE, I skipped that release. The problem is not caused by
other
people on the network
changing printing preferences, it is specific to DXP. Here in the US we
use
the "imperial" letter
size, but Protel DXP constantly defaults to A4, and if you overlook
that,
you keep sending print
jobs to a letter size printer, and it doesn't handle the print job
correctly. Don't know if the
latest DXP version implements a global default choice that fixes that,
but
it would be a huge labor
saving improvement if it did.

Best regards,

Kerry Berland
