I can't check this right now, but maybe another tip helps you. For any
print output related issues, FinePrint has been serving me well for many
years. It is a virtual printer driver that sits between the apps and the
real printer driver, has a preview and provides a number of ways to modify
the output (including save it as image).
They have a trial version, so you could just see if it helps you.
