I think it's fantastic!!! Yes, it has its drawbacks as others have said, but I plan to use it for as long as I can get computers to run it. I haven't run DXP/AD6 but it sounds like it's less convenient for "smaller" designs. By small, I mean that my designs are usually no more than 10 B sized pages (schematic) although I'm sure that MANY more pages are no problem. I also don't use FPGA which AD6 is said to excel at. Personally, I wind up doing a lot of BOM work in Excel with slightly convoluted procedures to update the Protel design. Thats my only real complaint. At the end of the day I enjoy using P99, look forward to doing layouts, and rarely if ever find myself being pissed off. Wish I could say that about MS apps.
