Lou is absolutely correct about my narrow horizons. I have spent a week
or so in Cuba, under the tutelage of Jim Devine, and a week in Puerto
Rico. Not much, I admit.

an Indonesian. I did not know where he was located.
Like many tenured professors, Michael has a tendency

I agree with you on the first 2 counts. I am not sure what professorial
means. I wish that we could gather and develop more information here. I
wish that we could be a source of expertise for less professorial people
who would like to use information as a weapon.
If professorial is a tone of condensation, then, yes, it should be
avoided.
