==================== It means your self serving demands for evidence when so-called sweeping generalizations you don't like are made when you do the same damned thing is being called out for being extremely frustrating to even as sympathetic reader of your stuff as yours truly. If you have cognitive 'blindsight' as to what I'm asserting, perhaps you can peruse the pen-l archives for a while. I wonder how many fewer posts a month you would make if you held yourself to the dubious standards you impose on others given that pen-l is little more than a conversational space. Please answer that question with/to yourself without posting yet more evidence impoverished generalizations. One of the complaints against the economics profession is the cherry picking of data/evidence to justify conclusions one expressed/asserted for utterly different reasons. Afaict, no school of political economy has been immune from the temptation/practice. The current conjuncture is thus saturated with the hermeneutics of suspicion; so perhaps, rather than getting in pissing matches with Juriaan over evidential thresholds for persuasiveness which always seem to have just enough room to split the hair until the Higgs boson is found, you and pen-l members can come up with some better narratives as to why dissident 'economists' might be worth the attention/money of the wider public because right now your profession is in the shitter and may not survive the sewer treatment plant of history. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
