Phil Angelides is against the war in Iraq. That may be the difference to her. It was to me.
This year would have been as good a year to use the Iraq War as the litmus test in a non-partisan fashion as 2004, or perhaps a better year to do so than 2004, thereby establishing a working relation between left Democrats of the sort who supported Tasini and Greens like Hawkins. Hawkins's remarks on the Tasini campaign suggested a kind of overture in that direction, but I didn't detect any sign of reciprocation from the Tasini side (though it's possible that I missed it as I don't live in NY). -- Yoshie <http://montages.blogspot.com/> <http://mrzine.org> <http://monthlyreview.org/>
