The lower level interface mimics very closely the C API. Looking at the
documentation at:
http://plplot.sourceforge.net/docbook-manual/plplot-html-5.6.1/
and the examples at:
http://plplot.sourceforge.net/examples/
should be enough to understand the lower level interface.
