No, it was just that the 64-bit builds of Strawberry Perl don't come with 
ppm - mainly because there aren't many 64-bit ppm packages available. I 
don't know if this state of affairs will change when 64-bit ppm packages 
become more prevalent. (But I don't see any mention of ever ditching ppm for 
the 32-bit builds.)

When 2.4.7 is released, I will make 64-bit ppm packages (perl-5.12 only) 
available somewhere - preferably uwinnipeg, if the owner agrees.
