My take away from this discussion is that we have a need for someone to step up to support distribution of PDL for Mac OS X systems.
As far as I know, PDL does build out of the box on Mac OS X (at least no test failures have been reported). It should be relatively straightforward for someone to take this the rest of the way to support some sort of option among binary SciPDL, macports, and homebrew. As for the problem of non-relocatable pdldoc database, the only bug report we have is from me regarding SPP. Interesting that this may be a problem of more general interest. As always volunteers to help with the development and test of PDL are welcome (with their patches!) --Chris On Thu, Jan 24, 2013 at 9:23 AM, Timothy Pickering <[email protected]> wrote: >> These days, the preferred way to compile/install tools on OSX is Homebrew >> (http://mxcl.github.com/homebrew/).
