Hi Chris,

It's difficult to tell from these photos, but, to me, it looks like it might be 
a webbing clothes moth. I can't see any specks or spots on the wings that are 
more characteristic of casemaking or brown-dotted clothes moths (but that might 
just be a result of the lighting/angles in these images). I would defer to the 
experts if anyone else has a different ID, but it is definitely a species of 
clothes moth.

Subject: [PestList] Moth ID

It's Friday afternoon before Memorial Day weekend so the timing isn't great but 
here we go.

I found 3 of these alive in a box that was brought to our museum. 7 mm long. I 
was thinking the red tuft of hair on the head, the antennae and the size 
pointed to Brown Dotted Clothes Moth. Any confirmation or alternative ID would 
be welcome.
