ALSA updates always seem to break for me in the alphas so it was just
a matter of time. They tend to repair that issue fairly quick. As
for me, the Nvidia issue seems to be an ongoing bug for my card. I
found the bug report on the Nvidia site. From what I can tell, the
people in the forum feel that they are not going to fix the bug since
it works fine in the newer cards.

I know that the 2.6.24 kernel introduced new wireless drivers for the
Broadcom (b43 and b43 legacy) and lntel cards(iwlwifi). The only
major issue that existed was with NDISwrapper. I am not for sure for
which cards the issue affected, but it did affect the Broadcom ones.
NDISwrapper would not start until you loaded ndiswrapper before ssb.
I am not for sure if that has been fixed yet or not.
