I have tryed for some time to have my email removed from your mailing list but 
have had no luck.

I'm coming the other way :-) , the server accesses the internet happily 
and now it has two LAN cards I think I got the second one set with a 
static IP OK so now to try the DHCP angle.

are their LAN interfaces on the motherboard ? I'm wondering if anything 
can be added via that empty socket one sometimes sees on the PCI NICs ie 
a boot ROM ?
