Like I say, I'm not overly fussed on Google Analytics.  If we can find a
self-hosted solution that gives us as much visibility as possible then
that's even better.

This has come about from people requesting data, or mentioning in passing
that it would be useful to know xyz about the user base.  If we already
have something then that's great, but there's not enough visibility of it
internally.  If we have nothing then I believe we should look to change
that.

When I spoke to Hannes last night he was able to give me some metrics, but
I assume that's from him querying something that the majority of us don't
have access to.
