I have been seeing Dr Blevins at Vanderbilt for my prolactinoma. He is treating me with Dostinex. My prolactin has gone down from 93 in the beginning to 19 now. I had my last MRI about 3 weeks ago. I received the results in the mail from Dr Blevins this past weekend, my tumor which was originally 7x6x6 mm has shrunk to 4x3x3 mm. Which is great but he did not indicate when he wanted to see me again nor if Im supposed to keep taking the Dostinex!! All he told me was to have another MRI in a year! My regular Doctor could have taken care of what he has done for me! I have been blessed with relatively no side effects, so I guess that explains why he has not really gone into no detail about this illness. I have never been talked to about the different tests on my blood that I have read about on here. All I have been talked to about is my estrogen levels and my prolactin! Is this normal if Im having no major problems? I had heard about this endo on this board, he is the second one I have seen. I truely feel like a mushroom! Ive been left in the dark!!
