Hi Fulla!

I had to laugh, becuse I've felt like a mushroom this week too! giggle - I think I'm crying from laughing so hard. Oh... mushrooms make good company!

You can get copies of all of the tests he has run. I believe his assistant can provide you copies if you provide a release, or you can do it through the release of information office. You will have to call to get the correct procedure.

Typically with prolactinomas, estrogen is watched as low estrogen can effect your bone density, and of course he will watch your prolactin.  I would assume that you are to still take the dostinex for maintenance. Typically, if you stop the drug, your prolactin levels will rise, and the tumor could regrow.  If you need a refill on the medication, let his assistant know.

I think you ought to call his assistant in scheduling, and find out when your endocrine follow up is. I expect Dr. Blevins has his staff do the scheduling, and  they haven't followed up on his orderes yet. You do know you need to do a f/u in a year for your MRI. It isn't unreasonable for you to take the initiative in getting your appointments rescheduled.

It also isn't unreasonable for you to send a note with your unanswered questions in between visits.

I want to congratulate you on your tumor shrinkage! That is wonderful news and you must feel very happy about that. That is indeed a big progress milestone you and your doctor have both achieved! I also am very glad to hear that you have not had the significant side effects with dostinex.

So... we both can open the doors, turn on the lights ... and shed our mushrooms hats.

Minnie... the tired of the mushroom hat!
