I understand what you're saying, but the fact that it IS there and IB
customers do expect that all the HCAs will be available without further
intervention means that it will be a dissatisfier not to have it
installed. As far as space is concerned, it is:

So, not a huge addition to the available 700MB. Is there any way to get

I'm sure you didn't mean this, but there isn't 700MB of available space
on the LiveCD, but at last check, it's more in the range of < 5
megabytes of available space :)
I'd propose this on caiman-discus or install-discuss and see if they
have room.
