They're not internal developer messages. They're progress messages
indicating that pkg(5) is working on a linked image (in this case,
non-global zones, which are linked to the parent).
And yes, the -C option will allow you to specify the number of linked
images pkg(5) will work on in parallel. Alternatively, you can set
PKG_CONCURRENCY in the environment. See pkg(1) for details.

Hi
just to be clear,
I am happy with the s11.1 verbose messages in general, they do at least
give me an indication of progress etc ie
http://timsfoster.wordpress.com/ "progress-tracking"
but I do feel that lots of messages like
Planning linked: 0/5 done; 1 working: zone:5240b
are not useful to most end users,
ie Planning linked, is I assume something to do with linked images, but
it conveys little meaning to me.
0/5 done, ok that is progress indicator of some sort I guess.
1 working , so one working what exactly, is there scope in pkg args to
make 2 of them work?
ie -C for parallel zones operations maybe?

what are the above messages telling me, should they be suppressed and
replaced with some indicator that we are just doing stuff ie
......
They appear to be some internal developer messages.
