You don't need to do that, but it's up to you.
Unfortunately, we do need to :-}
People like to claim "disk is cheap", but it isnt when you have existing
legacy hardware you *must* use, and you're all tapped out of internal
disk space, with no larger size disk available! We cant afford to have
7 gig of old data laying around on that machine "just in case". sigh.
