Just one comment - it seems to me that Plucker Desktop should be the one communicating with PlkrData, not the other way around. That is, you should be able to use the Plucker Desktop GUI to import/export channels (& behind the scenes, Plucker Desktop could use PlkrData to do just that).
Am I missing something?
So the intra-process communications would be to reduce user annoyance.
