This discussion is pointless.
Obviously fooler has not used Linux in a production
environment long enough to see the "light".
It's a matter of attitude and your position in the company.
If you have stupid bosses who still believe that the more
you pay the better product you get, then what choice do you
have? (it's HIS Money)
In my case, I'm the boss. We can't afford the expensive
"standard". We can't afford down time. We can't afford to
hire a full time admin. And I don't have the time to admin
Windoze quirks. (it's MY money)
Don't worry we can't be purists here. Windoze is still good
depending on the application you use if there is no choice.
As for hardware, I always pick Linux Compatible hardware.
If you love Bill, tell him Win3.1 and DOS were really good.
Win9x series and NT series suck real bad.
