It's an ECS K8M800-M2, a micro-ATX, socket 754 board with
onboard unichrome video that only works as far as I can tell
under the VESA XOrg driver. There's ongoing development,
however, at http://unichrome.sf.net.

I'm not a fragfreak. But I find the Radeon 7000 to be well
supported by current Debian Xorg packages. At least they're
good enough for for my favorite games: Planet Penguin Racer
(aka Tuxracer), Crack Attack, and NeverBall. In the past I
had to install some unofficial packages (from a Debian
developer).

I have only one drive, but I tend to schedule my burning
sessions when I'm away from the computer (e.g. eating
dinner). And I tend to burn only at 2.5x (DVD+RW) since 4-8x
burns tend to be partly unreadable in plain DVD (or combo)
readers. BTW it's the first time I came across the acronym
PATA (smells icky ;-).
