Power & Money. The Engineering Building and the Data Center there is fairly new. We have found that there are problems with how the fire-suppression system was integrated with the building's Power which can result in the emergency power-off shutting off the Power at a point between the UPSes and servers. As for a multi-site high-availability setup, that's where the Money comes in. There is also Time, but in this case, Money could buy Time. There is a fourth: Need. Patient records and student/staff/faculty records are very different--medical emergencies can happen at any time and patient records are critical. Not being able to get to Banner or your e-mail or the PSU web site during a planned and advertised outage is an inconvenience, not an emergency. > If you are a PSU staff person, please don't be offended. No offense, but you're a shithead. Do you see how that doesn't work? You can't be a dick and then say "please don't be offended". You also don't seem to know the difference between "faculty" and "staff". Wil
