what about texdraw? been using the miktex (win32 version) for sometime. i
am sure it has a tetex (unix version). stopped using line drawing already.
i use dia to diagram and then embed it as a eps file. 

cool thing: gnumeric the spreadsheet pala has a save as latex2e format.
and thus if thou want to make complicated tables and the like you can use
gnumeric. of course, i would rather code the latex myself.

sorry doc. the new generation does not appreciate the wonderfulness of
such technology. even i did not bother borrowing that book kasi latex2e
person lang ako eh. note author not typesetter.

The reason that every major university maintains a department of
mathematics is that it's cheaper than institutionalizing all those people.
