Well, if it's a gaming machine, then the type of 
ram (RDRAM, DDR, etc.) is irrelevant. Cheapest 
SDRAM now can cope with the demands of the games 
like counterstrike.

It's a no brainer, pick up the cheapest and ramp 
it up to 128Mb, 256Mb or higher which your 
motherboard can support. The few pesos you save 
goes to a faster harddrive or a video card.

Gaming like Counterstrike and other games needs a 
fast harddisk, not the 5600, but the 7200 rpm, 
udma 33/66/100 harddisk. You can feel the 
response and speed.
