If I may add:

6) Do not reply to postings when you have nothing to contribute to the
topic discussed.  Replying with one liners such as "I agree", "It's
true", "Me too!" and other similar thoughts are a big no no.  The PLUG
mailing list is not a popularity contest!  If you want to thank people
for helping you it is better to email them privately.

7) Read through the threads before replying to a post.  Somebody else
might have given the same answer as yours. If you have an alternative
solution other than the ones already mentioned then you are welcome to
contribute your answer/s.
