My thoughts also.  And actually, I'm about to rollout
Thunderbird (internal mail only) and OpenOffice to all
my users.

For now, I'm looking at putting a number of
"specific-use" PCs on Linux, as these PCs are mainly
used for accessing our corporate apps on an RS/6000
via telnet.
