Indeed. Essays from Paul Graham[1] can be a big influence on this.

Another thing that maybe of interest maybe a discussion on dispelling
myths and bad press about open source; I figure a *LOT* of people are
still under the impression that you can't make money out of FOSS, or
even out of programming.
