I spent minimal time on this computer yesterday after checking e-mail in
the morning. When I looked at it again in the evening, there was another
4.1 KB Volume icon. This morning a third one showed up. Between 9:45 PST
last evening and 9:00 PDT this morning, I personally generated no
activity on the machine. During the day yesterday I accessed the machine
from my laptop in the living room. I had to regenerate the mumble key on
the laptop, which I knew I needed to do for several days, but otherwise
Thunderbird this machine only only went looking for new e-mail.
Odd, but unless I'm told otherwise, I'm not concerned. I'm just not sure
if I should change the setting that allows them to be seen on the
desktop or not. Is there something I should be looking for on one of the
logs (which one or ones?) that could shed light on the problem?
I probably won't get back to this machine for several hours today.
