I don't know if this will help, but every once in awhile I need to reset the musicmagic reload interval. I usually have it set to '0' b/c having it set to anything else makes slim choke, so every once in awhile I'll get the 'mm' symbol, but won't be able to make a mix. When this happen I navigate to server settings>musicmagic>mm reload interval and set it to '1' and give it a few, and everything returns to normal.
