Hi PasTim, no apology necessary. I appreciate your help.

I do not have any plugins showing on the plugins page near the bottom
under "Philippe's LMS Plugins". I have pasted the line
"http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/lms-plugins-philippe44/repo-sf.xml";
in the Additional Repositories, clicked Apply - page "blinks" briefly
then comes back exactly the same. 

This message appears at the top "Bad repository
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/lms-plugins-philippe44/repo-sf.xml
- 404 Not Found".

However, I am able to access this page as a URL and can download the
plugin to my Windows desktop. Strange!

One thing I would like to ask - I seem to recall in years past that
there used to be a setting called 'Show all 3rd party plugins' in the
Plugins tab, but this doesn't appear in mine. Should it be?
