Works almost perfectly, however, spotty connect works just one or two
sessions, then stops being available.  I either need to restart the LMS
server, or click/then reclick "Enable Spotify Connect endpoint for this
player " to restart.

Hmm... indeed. I've "lost" one of my players, too (on Linux). I thought its spotty daemon had crashed, but it's still there. Oh my... I'll never get there :-(.
