Just gave that a try, at first I'd get the text "connecting" on the squeezebox and the transport would move with no sound; with only PCM and then only MP3 on it just immediately skips to the next track still, showing an absurdly high bitrate in the web interface: 24129 Not sure what to do from here, it's either deep in Spotty or deep in my codecs...
