AFAICT BBC Sounds is repackaging of BBC Podcasts + BBCiPlayer Radio with specially comissioned podcasts for new material rather than just broadcast material. It may also include personalisation.
BBCiPlayer won't change as it is broadcast material. BBciplayer will not do personalisation.
