Fortunately that wasn't necessary. For some unknown reason, the entire library directory tree disappeared...as in file explorer even thought the directory was empty. I deferred panic till I rebooted everything, including the attached storage and it all reappeared. The Squeeze Ctrl/SB Player combo is the best I've ever used.
