I've been having a look at supporting multiple BBC Accounts. Ie the
ability to add multiple accounts in settings, then associate different
accounts with different players.
The whole method of managing credentials and sessions needs an overhaul
to support it, so its quite a bit work. This has been a requested
feature for quite a while.
I've started doing the ground work, but now I look at it, I'm not sure
it works at all as a concept.
I know Spotty supports multiple accounts. I've never seen the multiple
accounts in action . How does it work on that?
What happens on the controllers (e.g. Material Skin), when you are
browsing within the spotty app with one player selected, then you
switch to another player that is associated with a different account.
It must be very confusing as the menu wouldn't change when you swap
players, but would be completely invalidated (or it would be on BBC
Sounds)?
Or does it not matter in practise that its confusing, as you only listen
to one player at a time, and users get used to checking what account is
currently selected on the player?
