I also installed Librespot on my Windows laptop and volume normalisation definitely works when playing to it from the Spotify app. So volume normalisation works for Librespot but not for Spotty.
What parameters are you using? There (unfortunately) are three different normalization related settings in LMS. What streaming format did you use for Spotty? Did you vary settings/formats in your tests? Did you use any particular setting in your librespot test?
