-Various- (short for various settings/preferences) is just the landing/starting *sub*page with all sorts of settings that don't fit any of the other settings pages. If you click on *Various* you should see a drop-down menu where all the settings subpages are listed, among them *Backup / Restore* where you can create backups (manually or scheduled). BTW you can disable the log file that keeps track of your rating actions if you want to. The setting is called *Log changed ratings* and it's on the -Various- page.
