Ok, it finally worked for me, by following some of the recommendations in this forum.
I removed Squeezecenter, (deleted the install folder manually after the uninstaller) and copied the fix posted to this thread to plugins: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=353392&postcount=56 Finally worked!
