Is that where the incompatibility lies? I've just tried with iTunes *not* running. Mac OS 10.5.5, SqueezeCenter 7.2, CDPlayer version 1.04b1.
I get (on several CDs) the message "no CD in Drive". Do you have iTunes running? Obvious thing to do is to try without it.
