I'm running a hacked up copy of SDT 5.5.1 (I hacked gotWeather enough to get current data), and I'm seeing something similar. I can go for a few days (apparently), and the asterisk doesn't get stuck on, but today SDT did fail to update data. Restarting SC/SBS fixed it. Anyhow, since I'm running pretty old logic, I wonder if weather.com is being more aggressive in dealing with repeated requests for data.
