Have you enabled logging for the problematic service such as setting plugin.slacker to DEBUG.
Also when proxied streaming is enabled for a player, streaming will be "remote" - so enable logging on player.streaming.remote to INFO (DEBUG might be too much). This will show if any errors are being picked up. In the Slacker plugin code there is code to handle error and reinitialisation of Slacker streams.
