You can hide it by tapping the "Music Source" bar which adds an additional level of action to do before you accidentally move there. But is this really an issue? I mean: there's a confirmation prompt before you switch. My GF is on the wong server all the time but that's not due to iPeng but because she selects the wrong source durin her Boom's boot sequence.
