New to Squeezbox, it's all a bit confusing atm... Quick question - does MusicIP alter files?
I've set it so the account MusicIP is running under isn't able to alter my mp3s, is this ok? The reason I ask is that I think I've read a post somewhere someone complains that MusicIP has buggered up the tags on their music collection, I wouldn't want that to happen to my since I spent ages getting them sorted! But on the other hand MusicIP scanning is very slow, I don't want to have to redo it nor do I want to inhibit MusicIP's functionality. I also think I've read that Squeezebox needs to rescan after MusicIP's done it's thing which kinda implies there'll be a change to the file after MusicIP's finished. Also Squeezebox seems to have two settings for MusicIP : "Only read mixable status from MusicIP (faster)" "Import all song data from MusicIP (slower)" Is the second one worth bothering with?
