I tried it again. It resulted in another BSOD and required another restore, but only this one said it was not able to complete the restore which means this restore may have destabilized my system. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to test that route anymore. I don't know if this will prevent me from diagnosing or using Wave Input.
