I found a solution to the trackstat backup. It seems that although a trackstat backup directory is specified, when specifying a file for a manual backup, a full path must be specified for the file as well. It seems strange, and I don't know why, but that seems to work (I found it via the wiki).
However, I still don't understand the way the ratings work, nor how to force a reset to the ratings in the flacs. What is stored where, and what over-rides what in what sort of scan?
